A pupil that sat for her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations last year almost took her life after a school withheld her result slip.
The move by St Elizabeth Primary School located in Kingston Slums, Viwandani Ward in Nairobi almost dealt a blow to the pupil due to uncleared school fees balnce accumulated over the years.
It took the intervention of a community WhatsApp Group to highlight her plea which led to ‘Good Samaritans’ in Hon Faustine Imbali and Hon Maurice Imbale to salvage the situation after they took the initiative of assisting the pupil to achieve her desires.
The pupil’s father, it is alleged, lost his job during the Corona Pandemic and her mother also lost her job from EPZ Company in Industrial Area due to abrupt closure.
